Tag Rugby festival.21.05.08
The Roberttown Tag Rugby Team went to Leeds Road Playing Fields (Huddersfield) to compete against 13 other teams from local schools. Our team consisted: Joe Allatt, James Thomas, Lydia Pickles, Georgia Cryan, Sam Wright, Paige Eckford, Arslan Cheema and Callum Pickles. When we arrived we were shown how to do 14 different training sessions, we all enjoyed the kicking session but it was the hardest session; some of the activities were tiring. When we finished the sessions we went inside and had some lunch. After lunch we went to start the games. Some people got a picture with a Huddersfield Giants rugby player called Ryan Hudson. Unfortunately Roberttown came 3rd and we won 3 and lost 3,but altogether we worked as a team and we motivated each other and we showed good sportsmanship.
