Sponsored Event – Five Rings Challenge, Tuesday 20th May
A reminder that on Tuesday 20th May all the children will be taking part in the ‘Five Rings Challenge’ sponsored event.
In Key Stage 1 and Reception Class this exciting event will involve your child doing a challenge from a list of five e.g.
How many times can you bounce a ball on a racket?
How many times can you skip before stopping?
The children have chosen their own challenge to do on the day.
In Key Stage 2 the children will be taking part in a circuit of various athletic events.
The children can be sponsored for every point scored or for a fixed amount. The money raised will be used to buy new stage blocks. Please sponsor your child and ask friends and family (no door to door approaches please). Thank you for your support. A sponsor form was sent home last week, spare copies are available in the school office.
Tag Rugby Festival – Year 5 & 6
Roberttown School is taking part in the Tag Rugby Festival on Wednesday 21st May at Leeds Road Playing Fields, Huddersfield. The children selected for the team were given a letter earlier this week outlining further details of the day. Please return the permission slip by tomorrow, Friday 9th May. Thank you.
Party in the Park - Million Hours of Kindness – see attached leaflet
Some of the children are signing up to pledge an hour of their time to be helpful and kind. So don’t be surprised if they offer to help and do a job for you that they normally wouldn’t volunteer to do! It is entirely up to the child if they honour their pledge, no one will be checking up on them.
This is part of the ‘Hope in Heckmondwike’ a community initiative by Churches Together in Heckmondwike & District. ‘Party in the Park’ a family event is to be held on Sunday 11th May from 2.30pm to 4.30pm in Green Park, Heckmondwike. Everyone welcome.

Thank you for your support.
