Y6 Roberttown Netball Team Report By Sam Wright and James Thomas
3 2 1 go! On the 13th March Thursday evening, the Roberttown Netball team went to Heckmondwike Grammar School for the High 5 Netball Tournament 2008.

The first match was against Cawley Lane who we beat 2-1. Then it was Hartshead who we defeated once more by 4-0. As a result of the last two matches, we got through to the Semi Final, where we played against Littletown, we won 4-0 believe it or not. Then we played Millbridge in the final and the score was 5-0 TO ROBERTTOWN! We all got medals for our extremely hard work.

Many thanks to Sam Wright, Joe Allatt, James Thomas, James Ives, Emily Tench, Ellena Roberts and Ellie Walker. Also a massive thank you to Mrs Bordman [lead person], Mrs Briggs; who assisted Mrs Bordman during lunchtimes and finally, Mr Ives for encouragement and Mars Bars!

Visit to Red House Museum – Written by Mrs Senior
The children in Year 1 & 2 went back in time at the Red House Museum. The school visit supported and enhanced our ‘Houses & Homes’ project. The children were able to discover what it was like to live without electricity, materials like plastic and to have servants. The children has the opportunity to handle artefacts, draw silhouettes, play with toys from the past, write with dip pens, try on costumes, sketch features of the house and make lavender bags. A very busy fun filled trip!
