Beetle Bingo
Thank you to everyone who organised, attended and donated prizes to the Beetle/Bingo Social Evening last week. The evening was very successful and enjoyable. Approximately £200 was raised for the PFA.
Staffing
I am sad to inform you that Mrs Nichola Senior will be leaving Roberttown School in July. Mrs Senior has worked at Roberttown School for over 10 years and will be sadly missed by all the children and staff. Mrs Senior and her family are moving to Malaysia. We will be appointing another teacher during this term.

Bag2School
Thank you to everyone who sent in donations of clothes, bedding etc for the Bag2School collection. You raised £72 for school funds.
Parent Governor
I am pleased to inform you that we have received a nomination for the Parent Governor vacancy. I would like to welcome Julie Orme (Parent of Year 2 child) to Roberttown J & I School Governing Body as the new Parent Governor for a term of 4 years.
Year 6 Design and Technology – Thursday 1st May
As part of their work in D & T, the children in year 6 will be tasting various breads from around the world on Thursday 1st May. Please inform the class teacher if your child has any food allergies so that they may be exempt from the tasting. Thank you.

Family Learning Family Learning Event – Paris Class (Year 3) - Tuesday 29th April from
1.30pm until 3pm.
Places are still available for the Family Learning Event on Tuesday 29th April. If you would like to book a place, please collect a form from the school office. Please return your slip together with the £1 contribution in a named envelope and a ticket will be returned to confirm your place.
Unfortunately, due to limited space, younger siblings are not able to attend the event.
Netball Final
Thank you to all the children who took part in the Netball Final last week at Newsome High School. The team played well and put in lots of effort despite the adverse weather conditions. Well done and thank you to Mrs Bordman for organising our team.
Mirfield Show Creative Writing Competition
The Mirfield Agricultural Show Society is having a creative writing competition. There are various categories the children can enter and the prizes will be presented at the Mirfield Show on Sunday 17th August. If you would like further information please contact the school office.
