The School Council visit to Huddersfield Town Hall
On Thursday 15th January Councillor Margaret Bates invited us to hold a meeting at the town hall. When we arrived we were met by Councillor David Hall, then he showed us round the town hall. Then we got to hold a very exciting meeting in the council chamber. This was a very enjoyable opportunity for the school council, we hope to go back there and hold another meeting there sometime in the future.

School Council Prayer Competition Winners
Thank you to all the children who sent in entries for the Prayer Competition. The winners have received book tokens and they are:

School Council - Generation Green
We are taking part in Generation Green!
Generation Green is a British Gas funded scheme helping schools to be more eco friendly. We do this by earning leaves (points) we earn leaves by completing tasks, we are all ready an eco team.
School Council - Walk to School Week
Next week we will be taking part in Walk to School Week. A slip is attached to this Newsletter that you can sign to say that your child walked somewhere instead of using the car. When it has been sent in your child will be sent home with a certificate saying that they have taken part in the Walk to School Week! Please send your slip into school by Friday 24th October.
By walking to school YOU could save part of the world by not going in your car and polluting the air. This will help the environment around you will be breathing in fresh air!
